Again, since I didn't really care if I fell asleep in the middle of a scene because I was still hungover, I picked up the 2nd book of this. Don't judge.Writing was once again juvenile. Who knew I had to be told when someone "greeted". I laughed every time someone "greeted" someone. Also, the "like what you see"? Are all the characters from each book gonna say the same thing? Also, if you want someone out of your life, you don't generally go back to their house voluntarily. It was seriously laughable. (view spoiler)[and Sebastian still talks to him once or twice a month? That's a lot.(hide spoiler)]For Cody being standoff-ish he sure did give in pretty quickly. I hate that.Once again the sex talk was giving porn a run for their money. It was cringe worthy.

I truly like The characters and setting in this series and on one hand enjoy it. However, I am constantly distracted by the British grammar and by the depersonalizations of using the word 'the' instead of 'his'. I expect British grammar in stories that are set in England but not in ones that are supposed to be set in America.

I would like to be nicer about this book, but , I can't. The plot was formulaic and obvious, the characters were flat, and there was nothing of any depth. The stock bogeyman was a cardboard cut-out seen in 3/4 profile, glimpsed and dumped. Finally, the dialogue gave the game away. Now I can tell the difference between gay literature and MM/slash fiction, NO great big butch policeman is going to go around thinking 'adorable' about some vapid twink. In fact there aren't even that many vapid twinks who would. It's the sort of thing you hear being said about cute cats and babies. Now I know why so many gay men find this sort of thing offensive, its patronising and dehumanising.Apart from that it wasn't bad.

M/M. A nice, fairly simple story about a new, young police dispatcher fleeing a failed relationship, and a little older policeman known for his playboy ways and aversion to settling down. I would have liked to have felt a little more emotional pull between the two and the story telling was very basic, certainly not overly flowery. A good read for someone just looking for something short and not overly complicated.

Good book :DCharacters:Sebastian is our ‘bad boy’ in this story, our reformed playboy who has it bad for dispatcher Cody. Cody is the one who has been burnt before. He tries to keep their relationship professional, he tries to not involve his heart. I like Cody, think he is a smart man who really cares. What I don’t like about Cody? This whole No-I’ll-never-sleep-with-an-officer and this whole I-won’t give-in-to-the-temptation… Cause he gives in pretty easily. And also, I have to criticize the writing style here again. I just don’t get why he would give in that easily and it’s not properly elaborated on. Especially when considering his history with men, why doesn’t he try to check whether the guy he is with is a decent one? One remark (hope you aren’t angry about it): I couldn’t help but notice that there was no straight couple in the first installment of this series. I don’t know why but I find that always a bit unnerving cause I love having women somewhere in the stories… I’m glad to say that there were some couples in this installment :D Thanks for that. What I really adored about this installment?First, the whole dispatcher and cop thing. It’s really interesting when looking behind closed doors. You never really think about those people who you call when something terrible happens, those people who help you when there is no one else there. Also, I loved Cody’s opinion on society’s gender roles and the whole pink-for-girls and blue-for-boys thing. I mean, gosh, he is so right. And then this whole a-boy-is-not-supposed-to-play-with-dolls. Ah… what the hell?? Sure, if he wants to, why not?? So all this gender norms talk was pretty awesome ;)All in all, glad I’ve read it The ending was again very abrupt but hey… And there is not much drama in there :D But that doesn’t mean it isn’t good. Also, I liked the writing style better this time. So something around 3.5 stars seems to be fine

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest reviewSebastian is the cop we met in Just Love (Dusty's friend). He is a bit of a playboy who is starting to get jealous of the happiness he sees Dusty and Milo have. Cody is a police dispatcher who recently moved to town. They have an instant attraction to each other, but Cody is determined to keep his love life out of the workplace.I really loved Sebastian. He is a guy who doesn't care what others think about him and who lives life exactly how he wants to. He is outgoing and can be obnoxious, but for those who take the time to see the real him, he is sweet and caring, and adorable. Cody was a cutie. Burned in the past by inconsiderate co-worker that he had a fling with, Cody was very hesitant to pursue anything with Sebastian. At first, Sebastian saw Cody's lack in "interest" as a challenge, but it was their spark and the intensity that Sebastian felt for Cody unexpectedly that Sebastian see it differently. There was not a lot of angst in the story, and I appreciated it that. This was a sweet story with a comfortable feeling. Definitely what I needed for my "sweet" mood.

2.5 but I rounded up this time because I did enjoy this one more than the first book in the series. I liked the characters and their relationship more, especially in the second half, things seemed to come together a bit better. I think my big issue in the first book and this one, is the writing style. It still feels like the author is telling the story, instead of showing it. It's almost like there's so much concern about making sure everything is explained, ever detail down to the way things are said, it doesn't let the reader paint a picture of what's going on, it's just told. The flow of dialogue and writing is still just a bit stiff I guess? I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The story about Cody and Sebastian is heartwarming. It's about learning to trust and love once you've been proven unworthy. I was charmed by Cody's honesty and his sense of humor. As much as I did enjoy it I was left wanting more. I wanted the main characters from Just Love to be more involved in these their every day lives. Sebastian is Dusty's friend and gave him some advise, but he was only there once. Also, there was no Milo. :-(Despite my disappointment, I still really liked the story. I can't wait for the third installment of Coastal Charm. Thank you Casey for continuing this series.

This is my first book from this author, and I look forward to reading more of her work. I really enjoyed Keyed In. It's a wonderful love story between police office Sebastian and police dispatcher Cody. Cody always falling for the "bad boys" and Sebastian usually has one night flings. I loved the first impression that they had of each other, and how they both could not deny it. With pressure from family and work, how will they be able to have a shot at love? You have to read it and find out! I enjoyed the flow of the book and felt the emotions that both these characters had for each other. I truly enjoyed this book, I did receive a copy as an ARC.

An ARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.Cody and Sebastian were likable characters and there was good relationship development between the two. Cody trying to keep control of his reactions to Sebastian was cute. I would have liked to see Jack put up more of an effort to mend the relationship between him and Sebastian. During the coitus moments the dialogue sounded really corny and somewhat pornish. I also had issues with differentiating what was suppose to be a text message between Cody and Sebastian from the normal dialogue when it appeared in the story.

I Love You as You AreTwo very cautious and stubborn men work through their insecurities and trust issues as they build a life together. Family issues and workplace demands come into play as well. A sweet romance.

Sebastian and Cody was 2 very different people and though the differences they come together and become such a couple. I was very upset about Sebastian's grandfather and his crude ways cause he did not support his own grandson for being gay. Such a great story. bring on book 3.

Did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would and the cover threw me off a little. It looks like this story is about a dad and his son , and Seb is a beat cop so I'm thinking he should be in uniform not looking like detective.

Better than book oneThis is a more polished story than the first in the series and while it's another super quick rush to love, it seems more believable.
