I’d bought Short Stories For On The Go by Tessa Castello a while back. But isn’t that what a collection of short stories is for, picking up and reading when you get a moment or want a distraction? That’s what I’ve done with this collection and from “Fly Like a Bird” to “Cooking up a Storm” and finally “Up Close and Personal” I’ve enjoyed each snippet with joy. Thanks, Ms. Castello, for giving me a quick escape with some truly wonderful characters and superb writing. And can I say I especially liked Murder at the Opera!

Captivity, a wild fire, and skydiving create some of the intense scenes in this collection. The characters are richly developed and their traits shine through as they're put to the test. My favorite story was Blue Rose because of the interaction between family members. There's a little bit of everything here.
